Sheridan Maine (Midlands) is recruiting an experienced Accounts Manager to manage a varied portfolio of UK clients from Tunbridge Wells. You will deliver accurate accounts and compliance work, acting as a trusted contact for clients while working within a supportive team.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in UK practice, strong accounts preparation and VAT experience, and ACA/ACCA or equivalent. This role offers professional development and a clear path for progression.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience with accounts preparation and client management.
• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification; early qualification considered.

Responsabilités

• Manage a varied portfolio of limited companies, SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
• Prepare and review statutory and management accounts.
• Review VAT returns and other compliance work.
• Liaise with clients to understand requirements and provide advice.
• Mentor junior team members and ensure deadlines.
• Identify process improvements and add value for clients.
