Job summary

Reed Practice is partnering with an ambitious UK-based client to appoint an Accounts Manager/Senior Accountant. You will manage your own varied client portfolio (accounts and tax), build strong relationships and provide advisory, planning and business strategy beyond compliance.

You’ll mentor junior staff, influence process improvements from day one, and act as the primary contact for clients including HMRC liaison. Hybrid working with WFH Mondays & Fridays is offered.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified AAT/ACCA with relevant technical experience.
• Experience as an Accountant in a practice firm working to UK regulations is essential.
• Strong knowledge of FRS102/FRS105, Corp Tax, VAT & Income Tax.
• Confident handling of technical queries end-to-end.
• Payroll knowledge would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied client portfolio (accounts + tax).
• Provide tax planning & business advisory support.
• Act as primary client contact for the firm (including HMRC liaison).
• Support juniors and contribute to team development.
• Review the work produced by junior team members.
• Work on forecasts, cashflows & management accounts.
