Job summary

Clark Wood Limited are recruiting an Accounts Manager for a progressive independent firm of accountants based in Congleton. You will manage a diverse portfolio of clients including small to medium limited companies, sole traders and partnerships, working closely with Directors.

The role involves overseeing junior staff, reviewing their work, and providing development support. ACCA/ACA qualified with strong general practice experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACCA or ACA Qualified (QBE will also be considered).
• Essential practice experience.
• Experience reviewing work prepared by junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Managing a diverse portfolio of clients from various industry sectors.
• Supporting partners and clients with bespoke queries and ad hoc project work.
• Preparation and review of Statutory Accounts and Management Accounts.
• Preparation and review of tax computations and returns.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for an array of clients.
• Reviewing the work of junior staff, providing guidance and support as required.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA/ACA Qualified with strong and varied general practice experience. Excellent communication skills are essential to build and maintain successful relationships with multiple clients.
