Accounts Manager / Client Manager - Stoke-on-Trent £55,000 - £70,000 + Hybrid Working + Benefits

Clark Wood are working with a leading accountancy firm in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager / Client Manager.

This is a client-facing role with responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of OMB and SME clients, overseeing accounts and tax work and providing a more commercial, advisory-focused service.

The role would suit an ACA / ACCA qualified or QBE accountant with a strong practice background who is comfortable managing clients and taking responsibility for their own portfolio.

The Role

• Manage a portfolio of OMB, SME and corporate clients
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients
• Oversee and review statutory accounts and Corporation Tax work
• Provide clients with accounting and commercial advice
• Manage deadlines, workflow and client deliverables
• Review work produced by junior members of the team
• Work closely with Partners on key clients and business development
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional services

About You

• ACA / ACCA qualified or QBE
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Strong accounts preparation and review experience
• Good knowledge of OMB and SME clients
• Confident communicator with strong client management skills
• Commercial approach with the ability to identify opportunities
• Xero or QuickBooks experience would be advantageous
