Job summary

Clark Wood are working with an established independent firm of chartered accountants in Redditch who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager / Client Manager.You will manage a portfolio of clients, prepare statutory and management accounts, and review tax computations. ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience is required, with strong communication and team mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Strong general practice background.
• Previous experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Confident dealing directly with clients.
• Experience reviewing accounts and supporting junior staff.
• Good technical knowledge and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare and review statutory and management accounts.
• Prepare and review tax computations and returns.
• Deal directly with clients and handle queries.
• Review work completed by junior members of the team.
• Support junior staff with their development.
• Assist with billing, workflow and general team management.
• Get involved in ad hoc client work and projects.
