Job summary

Workforce Staffing Ltd is hiring an Accounts & Credit Control Assistant in Halesowen, with on-site parking and some flexibility including one day from home. The role blends accounts support with credit-control tasks, owning the banks and the sales ledger, and involves regular invoicing, statements, and monthly direct debits.

You will work closely with the Customer Service team for invoices and credits and use Sage to streamline payments, reconciliations, and debt resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable/receivable and credit control.
• Proficient in Sage for posting payments/receipts.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and sales ledger.
• Ability to email statements and remittances.

Responsibilities

• Post bank payments and receipts in Sage using bank feeds and rules.
• Carry out bank reconciliations and download bank statements as needed.
• Process sales invoices and credit notes (as required by Finance).
• Produce and email customer statements and remittances.
• Manage direct debit collections monthly and chase overdue debts as needed.
• Set up new customer accounts and obtain direct debit mandates.
