Job summary

Howett Thorpe is recruiting an Accounts & Client Manager in Farnham to own and manage your own client portfolio, advising across accounting and business matters while working closely with Partners.

You will build strong client relationships, review statutory accounts, and contribute to internal process improvements. The role offers a high level of autonomy and a clear path toward senior leadership within a growing independent practice.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification is required.
• Experience working in a UK accountancy practice is essential.
• Strong client relationship and advisory skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop your own portfolio of clients.
• Build long-term client relationships and be a trusted contact.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts and related work.
• Review bookkeeping and management information for clients.
• Provide practical accounting advice across matters.
• Collaborate with Partners on complex client situations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and client delivery.
• Support growth and development of the client portfolio.
• Take ownership of deadlines and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Contribute ideas to help the firm grow.
