Job summary

Howett-Thorpe Recruitment Consultants Limited in Woking seeks an Accountancy Practice Manager to lead a small team, manage client relationships, and oversee a varied mix of accounts and personal tax work.

You will work with Partners to run the practice, review outsourced work, supervise juniors, and help drive process improvements and growth. ACA/ACCA or equivalent preferred; QBE considered.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent preferred; QBE may be considered.
• Strong accounts and personal tax knowledge.
• Experience reviewing work and maintaining quality standards.
• Good client management and communication skills.
• Hands-on approach with ability to take ownership.
• Experience supervising or supporting junior team members.
• Interest in developing trust knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a small team and support their development.
• Review accounts and work prepared by outsourced team.
• Manage a portfolio of clients and act as a key point of contact.
• Prepare and review personal tax returns.
• Opportunity to get involved with trust work.
• Work directly with the Partners on the running of the practice.
• Review work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Identify and improve processes across the practice.
• Help train and develop members of the team.
• Support the Partners with wider business and growth plans.
