Job summary

Howett Thorpe in Fleet is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of business and individual clients, preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105 while handling personal and corporation tax compliance. You will work closely with the partners and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a portfolio of clients in practice.
• Ability to prepare and review statutory accounts under FRS 102/FRS 105.
• Experience handling personal and corporation tax compliance.
• Strong client relationship management and communication with partners.
• Capable of supporting junior colleagues and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105.
• Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors.
• Prepare personal and corporation tax computations and returns.
• Deal directly with client queries and information requests.
• Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance.
• Liaise with partners on client matters and technical queries.
• Meet deadlines and ensure high-quality work.
• Support other accounts and tax work as required.
