Job summary

Insite Group in Manchester is seeking an Accounts and Audit Manager to broaden involvement beyond traditional audits. You’ll manage a client portfolio, deliver statutory accounts and tax work, and play a key role in client advisory services while developing toward Senior Manager.

You will lead audits from planning to sign-off, manage relationships with owner-managed businesses and not-for-profits, and expand cross‑functional exposure including M&A and forensic assignments.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA or ACCA with solid UK practice experience covering both audit and accounts.
• Experience managing your own client portfolio.
• Experience reviewing or supervising junior staff.
• Good knowledge of statutory accounts and corporation tax.
• Comfort using cloud accounting software, particularly Xero.

Responsibilities

• Managing audits from planning through to completion.
• Managing your own portfolio and acting as day-to-day client contact.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under FRS 102/FRS 105.
• Working on group accounts and consolidations when needed.
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
• Supporting clients with management accounts, VAT and wider advisory queries.
• Liaising with HMRC, solicitors, banks and other advisers.
• Reviewing junior staff's work and supporting their development.
• Improving internal processes and workflow planning.
• Working with the Audit Director to develop autonomy within your portfolio.
