Job summary

Insite Group in Basildon is seeking an Accounts & Audit Senior to manage a portfolio of SME clients with ownership of accounts, tax and audit work. You will coordinate with Directors, supervise juniors and maintain direct client contact to add value and build relationships.

The role focuses on accounts and tax (~70%) with audit exposure (~30%), requiring strong technical confidence and commercial awareness for longer-term responsibility.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification preferred.
• Experience in UK practice with statutory accounts and tax work.
• Ability to manage client relationships and supervising juniors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end statutory accounts for SME clients.
• Complete CT600 corporation tax returns and personal/self-assessment returns.
• Review accounting records and address accounting/tax issues.
• Manage own workload to meet deadlines and client needs.
• Supervise junior team members and provide feedback.
