Accounts & Audit Junior (School leaver)

Up to £22,000 + full study support

Role Overview

Butler Rose is delighted to support a regional firm of chartered accountants based in Wimbledon in appointing a recent school leaver into the position of Accounts & Audit Junior to complement the existing team. The firm offers a wide exposure to accounting, audit and bookkeeping for a diverse range of clients and full study support towards a recognised accounting qualification with the eventual aim of becoming a fully qualified accountant managing your own portfolio of clients.

Role Requirements

• Assist Seniors/Managers with the preparation of year‑end financial files.
• Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with recognised reporting standards.
• Participate in audit assignments to include control reviews, sampling and testing.
• Perform general bookkeeping tasks for a diverse range of clients.
• Effectively communicate with clients at all levels on a range of accounts and audit related matters.

Person Requirements

• Recent school leaver who has taken A‑Levels in Maths and English (desirable) with strong grades (B’s and above).
• Previous work experience in an accountancy practice is highly desirable but not essential.
• Passion for pursuing a career in accounting, with ambition to complete the AAT and ACA qualifications and ultimately become a fully qualified chartered accountant.
