Home Service Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join a busy SME-focused finance team in Thames Ditton. The role covers day-to-day bookkeeping, VAT returns, and payroll support, using QuickBooks in a Cloud-based setup.

The position is full-time, office-based, Monday to Friday, with a 9.00am–5.00pm schedule and on-site parking. Salary ranges between £30,000 and £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts, bookkeeping or finance roles.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.
• AAT qualification desirable but not essential.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Good communication and professional approach.

Responsabilités

• Carry out day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks.
• Process and record purchase invoices accurately.
• Manage the purchase ledger and resolve queries.
• Enter and maintain financial transactions in QuickBooks.
• Match and allocate payments and receipts.
• Complete regular bank reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT returns for approval.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with month-end processes.
• Process subcontractor payments.
• Assist with monthly payroll.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve invoice issues.
• Provide general finance and bookkeeping support.
