Job summary

Puro Associates seeks an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our Maidstone team. This 35-hour/week, on-site role involves bookkeeping across Sage, Xero or QuickBooks, VAT returns, CIS calculations and client support. Travel to client sites across Kent is required with own transport.

Ideal candidates have Level 3 AAT or equivalent, plus at least 2 years’ bookkeeping experience and strong data entry accuracy. Free parking offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with accounting software (Sage, Xero or QuickBooks).
• Level 3 AAT qualification or equivalent bookkeeping certification.
• Minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience and strong VAT/CIS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping using cloud software and traditional systems.
• Assist accountants with year-end data handover.
• Prepare VAT returns and CIS calculations.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Support travel to client sites across Kent using own transport.
