Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering with a well-established and growing business to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join its expanding finance team. You will take ownership of transactional accounting while developing toward a management accounts focused role.

This opportunity includes study support, annual salary reviews and the chance to grow with a forward-thinking finance function within a collaborative SME environment in Garforth.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar role within an SME environment.
• An analytical mind with good attention to detail.
• Positive and proactive mindset.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to act on own initiative.
• Problem solving and not being afraid to ask questions.

Responsibilities

• Processing the monthly billing run.
• Raising invoices for hardware/upfront costs, services and other ad hoc sales.
• Raising credit notes and re-invoicing where necessary.
• New customer setup, including credit checks and terms, and contract set up on the system.
• Taking full ownership over ongoing customer contract management, including processing cancellations and amendments.
• Assisting with the processing of monthly direct debit collections.
• Assisting with cashflow forecasting.
• Assisting the Management Accountant with month end processing.
• Drive improvements in finance processes, controls and efficiency.
• Leverage systems and automation to reduce manual workload.
