Accounts Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, including reviewing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders for senior management review.
  • Reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Completing, reviewing, and filing monthly and quarterly VAT returns under various VAT schemes.
  • Reviewing monthly and quarterly management accounts to a high standard.
  • Liaising with clients on technical queries and software-related issues.
  • Assisting with the development and training of junior team members and managing workflow.
  • Delivering excellent client service.
  • Supporting Partners with ad-hoc work.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • 1-2 years post-qualified with ACA/ACCA.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in practice.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
  • Experience with accounting systems such as CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Alphatax is preferred.
  • Strong client relationship skills.
  • Hands-on, diligent, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, able to multitask, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and drive.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
