Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Previous experience in an accounts or finance based position.
• Good IT skills and the ability to work confidently with financial information.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
• Methodical and proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Match supplier invoices against purchase orders, ensuring documentation is accurate and processed.
• Manage employee expense claims and petty cash.
• Carry out supplier statement reconciliations, investigate differences.
• Assist with supplier payments (BACS and cheque runs).
• Support month-end tasks such as journals, reconciliations and reporting.
• Provide general accounting support to colleagues in the finance team.
