Job summary

Lloyd Jaguar Land Rover in Carlisle is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the dealership's finance team. You will handle day-to-day transactional accounting tasks, assist with reporting, and help maintain accurate ledgers in a busy retail environment.

The role offers 40 hours per week with training provided, and benefits including leave and standard employee benefits. Previous accounts experience and good IT literacy are desirable for success.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have general accounts experience with day-to-day transactional tasks.
• Experience in credit control and bank reconciliations is beneficial.
• AAT qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Cash/daily banking.
• Bank statement allocations.
• Credit control.
• Ledger maintenance – sales and purchase ledgers.
• Setting up bank payments.
• Assist with vehicle stock counts.
• Other ad-hoc accounting tasks.
