Accounts Assistant

Location: Pershore

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)

Job Type: Full-time, 5 days per week in office

The Role:

This varied, hands-on role combines general bookkeeping and credit control responsibilities. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a small team, enjoys improving processes, and seeks long-term potential. The successful candidate will support the finance team daily, with opportunities to advance into a more senior role over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily bookkeeping and accounting duties using Sage
• Chase outstanding invoices and maintain strong customer relationships
• Support job costing entries and process timesheets
• Assist with payroll data and salary preparation
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier ledgers, and credit card transactions
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
• Contribute to VAT returns and year-end preparation
• Help streamline and modernize current systems and processes

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in bookkeeping and credit control
• Proficiency with Sage and a solid understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
