• Strong data handling skills and confident in Microsoft Excel.

VANRATH are delighted to be working exclusively with a well-established, multi-entity company based in County Down, who are seeking an Accounts Assistant to take ownership of both the purchase and sales ledgers. This role also involves providing valuable support to the Financial Controller, contributing to the financial stability, operational efficiency, and future success of the organisation.

What you'll do

• Managing the Sales Ledger, including credit control, customer account maintenance, and debtor management
• Overseeing the Purchase Ledger, including invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and resolving any queries
• Coordinating and processing supplier payment runs
• Supporting bank reconciliations and assisting with cash flow monitoring
• Assisting with month-end reporting and financial reconciliations
• Providing general finance and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations
• Undertaking any other finance-related duties as required

About You

You'll be an organised and detail-focused finance professional, capable of managing a varied workload in a busy, multi-entity environment.

• At least 1 year's experience in a finance or Accounts Accountant role
• Confident user of Microsoft Excel, with strong data handling skills
• Comfortable managing both internal and external communications
• Excelleent organisational skills
