Accounts Assistant / Book-Keeper - Inverness, UK

This position offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time hours, depending on your availability.

Job Responsibilities

  • Processing VAT returns.
  • Filing VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Preparing accounts for clients.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Assisting with client queries and providing excellent customer service.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Book-Keeper or in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and filing procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential - qualified by experience would be considered.
