Working within the Safran UK Finance team, the Accounts Assistant will support the Financial Controller in providing timely and accurate financial information, ensuring adherence to group finance procedures and internal controls, and playing a pivotal role in financial reporting communication.
Safran UK, based in Gloucester, operates the UK Shared Service Centre, focusing on service delivery across departments such as Transactional Finance, Indirect Procurement, HR, Tax, and International Mobility Management. What will I be doing?
Collaborate closely with the Financial Controller to handle a wide range of financial activities, including general finance, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and internal controls.

What do I need to succeed in this role?
- AAT Level 2 qualification
- Broad understanding of AR & AP ledgers and general accounting
- Proficiency with MS Excel, including V-lookups and pivot tables
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong administrative, numerical, and organizational skills
- Analytical skills encompassing written, graphical, numerical, and statistical data
