Job summary

JBD Accountants are looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Apprentice to start a career in accounting and work toward an AAT Level 2 qualification. You will gain hands-on experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, VAT returns, and using accountancy software in a friendly office environment.

Based at Eckington, this apprenticeship runs for about one year, with Monday to Friday hours from 9.00am to 5.00pm. There is potential for a full-time role after successful completion, backed by BABINGTON

Qualifications

• Essential - GCSE - English - Pass

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bookkeeping and general accountancy tasks
• Supporting with payroll processing
• Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns
• Using accountancy software to complete day-to-day tasks
• Using Microsoft Word and Excel to produce documents and maintain spreadsheets
• Answering telephone calls and dealing with visitors professionally
• General office administration, including filing, printing and scanning
• Maintaining accurate financial and administrative records
• Supporting the wider team with other accountancy tasks as you develop your skills
