Confidential is seeking an Accounts Assistant in Altrincham to support end-to-end finance processes within a reputable practice. The role covers payroll, AP/AR, VAT, and reconciliations, with potential study support for AAT/ACCA and clear progression.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years finance experience (practice or industry).
• AAT / ACCA qualified or QBE.
• Strong understanding of double-entry, reconciliations, and VAT.
• Strong understanding of end to end Payroll.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll and accounts - journals, reconciliations, month-end support.
• Accounts Payable - processing invoices, supplier payments.
• Accounts Receivable - credit control, customer accounts.
• VAT returns - preparation and submission.
• Payroll admin - assisting with monthly payroll tasks.
• Bank reconciliations - maintaining accurate financial records.
• General finance admin - filing, data entry, client communication.

Job description

Portfolio Payroll are working with a leading a reputable accountancy practice in Altrincham who is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant with strong all-round finance experience. This role suits someone with 2-3 years' experience who can confidently support the full end-to-end accounts process, including AP/AR, VAT, reconciliations, and some payroll administration.

They're open to AAT / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience, and ideally someone familiar with Sage, Xero or IRIS.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll and accounts - journals, reconciliations, month-end support
• Accounts Payable - processing invoices, supplier payments
• Accounts Receivable - credit control, customer accounts

Requirements
