Job summary

TC Group in Chorley is seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Trainee to support day-to-day accounting duties. You will assist with accounts for sole traders, partnerships, companies and tax returns, while gaining exposure to VAT and bookkeeping using Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSE passes including Maths and English.
• A Levels grade A* to C, ideally in an Accounting related subject.
• Knowledge of using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Eager to progress and develop, with the willingness to adapt.
• An effective communicator and listener who collaborates well with the team.
• Wants to make a positive impact on the firm and be part of its future.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts.
• Assisting with the preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Preparation of VAT returns and bookkeeping using Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
• Assistance with the preparation of personal tax returns.
• General office administration tasks.
