Job summary

TC Croydon, part of TC Group, is seeking a Trainee Accountant to learn to prepare accounts and tax returns, support bookkeeping, and communicate with clients. You will receive training and supervision while building confidence to take ownership of tasks.

You'll work toward a recognised accounting qualification while gaining practical client experience across a varied client base. This role will begin with non-audit exposure and grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Strong academic record with GCSEs English and Maths and good A Level results.
• Degree educated with a minimum 2:1 classification.
• Motivated, enthusiastic and keen to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.
• Good organisation and time management.
• Clear, professional communication skills.
• Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office.
• Positive team approach and willingness to take responsibility as you develop.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of accounts and financial statements from client records.
• Supporting bookkeeping and basic accounting tasks, with training and supervision.
• Helping the team keep client work organised, accurate and moving forward.
• Communicating clearly with clients and colleagues about information required, deadlines and progress.
• Supporting day-to-day office administration and team coordination so the office runs smoothly and client work continues to flow.
• Developing your technical, professional and commercial skills through study, feedback and on-the-job learning.
