Job summary

Johnson Matthey is seeking an Accounting RTR Analyst based in the United Kingdom. You will perform month-end close, review intercompany reconciliations, and participate in audits to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end and year-end closing, prepare reports and ensure timely financial data.
  • Review balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, investigate variances and propose solutions.
  • Review journal entries for accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in the annual financial audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations.
  • Review and optimize accounting processes.

Pay Range: €40,000 - €50,000

The role:
  • Performing month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of monthly and yearly reports, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of financial data.
  • Reviewing balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations prepared by operational accounting teams, investigating variances, and recommending solutions.
  • Reviewing journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Participating in the annual financial audit process.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax and financial regulations.
  • Reviewing, improving, and optimizing accounting processes.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
  • Experience in record-to-report or general accounting within a shared services or corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of management accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and strong knowledge of ERP systems, processes, and workflow technologies.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and management.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and result-oriented mindset, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
