Overall job purpose

To support the wider team and to assist managers in profitably delivering work across a portfolio of corporate clients, focusing on complex financial reporting and consolidations, while managing a small portfolio of corporate and not-for-profit clients and working with a team of staff to ensure the highest standards of client service at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients, practicing excellent client service principles.
  • Manage a small portfolio of corporate clients within the internal budget and address material points on assignments.
  • Plan assignments according to the firm’s procedures, confirming arrangements with clients, including costs and billing.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to junior team members.
  • Develop and maintain advanced technical knowledge through reading and courses, fulfilling CPD requirements, and staying informed about the firm’s services and publications.
  • Undertake assignments in accordance with instructions, efficiently and thoroughly, following firm procedures.
  • Provide briefing, supervision, and training for junior staff, reviewing their work for adequacy.
  • Perform any other duties within the scope of the role as requested by management.
  • Be fully qualified ACA / ACCA.
  • Have a strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with complex consolidations.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and ability to add value.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Have a good understanding of CCH AP, Microsoft Word & Excel, and Sage Line 50.
  • Possess working knowledge of Corporate Taxation.
