Job description

Job Title: Accounting Analyst

This position reports to the Accounting Manager or their designee and is located in Kannapolis, NC, USA. The Accounting Analyst plays a key role in the daily operations of the finance team, ensuring best practices are followed in processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and general ledger transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Promote teamwork and effective communication to develop strong working relationships across departments.
2. Accounts Payable: Lead processes including vendor setup, invoice processing, resolving queries, statement reconciliations, and payment processing. Prepare mid-month and end-of-month payment proposals.
3. Accounts Receivable: Manage customer setup, invoicing, resolving queries, statements, and collections.
4. Treasury: Administer payments via banking systems, record bank entries in ERP, reconcile bank statements, manage general ledger entries, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
5. Other Responsibilities: Support credit card and expense reporting, assist with ERP upgrades, prepare documentation for audits, follow safety regulations, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• College or university degree in Accounting with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills, proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and a team player.

Work Environment and Additional Info:

Requires working in a high-pressure environment, occasional travel, and flexible hours. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity, and working around machinery and hazardous fluids. Compliance with health and safety policies is mandatory.
