General Summary:

This position reports to the Accounting Manager or their designee and is located in Kannapolis, NC, USA. The Accounting Analyst plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance team and ensures best practice is followed in processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and general ledger transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Promote teamwork and effective communication to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
2. Accounts Payable: Lead the accounts payable process, including vendor setup, invoice processing, resolving invoice queries, statement reconciliations, and the processing of payments. Prepare mid-month and end-of-month payment proposals.
3. Accounts Receivable: Process accounts receivable transactions including customer setup, invoicing, resolving invoice queries, customer statements, and collection of payments.
4. Treasury: Administer payments through banking systems, record bank entries in the ERP system, reconcile bank statements, manage general ledger entries for month-end reporting, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
5. Other: Support credit card and expense reporting, assist with ERP system upgrades, prepare documentation for audits, follow all safety regulations, and perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:

College or university degree in Accounting with at least 3 years of relevant work experience preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Hands-on experience with MS Office applications; strong Excel skills.
• Good understanding and ability to articulate current role/processes.
• Experience using Microsoft D365 is preferred.
• Ability to work under stress and in time-sensitive situations.
• Team player with the ability to work well with personnel at all levels.
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to assist others.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The role requires working in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment, with occasional domestic and international travel, and flexible working hours including weekends. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, manual dexterity, and working around machinery, race cars, and hazardous fluids, adhering to health and safety policies.
