General Summary:

This position reports to the Accounting Manager or their designee; and is located in Kannapolis, NC, USA. The Accounting Analyst plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance team and ensures best practice is followed in processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and general ledger transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  2. Accounts Payable
  3. Lead the accounts payable process, including vendor setup, invoice processing, resolving invoice queries, statement reconciliations, and the processing of payments.
  4. Prepare mid-month and end-of-month payment proposals.
  5. Accounts Receivable
  6. Processing accounts receivable transactions including customer setup, customer invoicing, resolving invoice queries, customer statements, and collection of payments.
  7. Treasury
  8. Administer payments through banking systems.
  9. Record bank entries in the ERP system.
  10. Reconcile bank statements.
  11. Manage general ledger entries for month-end reporting.
  12. Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  13. Other
  14. Support with credit card and expense reporting.
  15. Assist with ERP system upgrades.
  16. Help with the preparation of documentation to fulfill audit requests.
  17. Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
  18. Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or their designee.
Education and Work Experience:

College or University degree in Accounting with 3 years of relevant work experience is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office applications; strong Excel skills.
  • Good understanding and ability to articulate current role/function process.
  • Demonstrate through examples/evidence, good written and verbal language skills, team playing capabilities, analytical aptitude, sense of urgency, and attention to detail.
  • Experience using Microsoft D365 is preferred.
  • Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time-sensitive situations.
  • Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.
  • A sympathetic approach to colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
  • A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.
Equipment and Applications:

Computer with Microsoft suite of products including D365.

Work Environment Physical Demands:

Ability to work and prioritize within a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic & international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.

This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting, manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
