General Summary:

This position reports to the Accounting Manager or their designee and is located in Kannapolis, NC, USA. The Accounting Analyst plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance team, ensuring best practices in processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and general ledger transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Promote teamwork and effective communication to develop working relationships across all personnel and departments.
2. Accounts Payable: Lead the accounts payable process, including vendor setup, invoice processing, resolving invoice queries, statement reconciliations, and payment processing. Prepare mid-month and end-of-month payment proposals.
3. Accounts Receivable: Process accounts receivable transactions, including customer setup, invoicing, resolving invoice queries, statements, and collections.
4. Treasury: Administer payments through banking systems, record bank entries in the ERP system, reconcile bank statements, manage general ledger entries for month-end reporting, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
5. Other: Support credit card and expense reporting, assist with ERP system upgrades, prepare documentation for audits, follow safety regulations, and perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:

College or university degree in Accounting with 3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Hands-on experience with MS Office applications; strong Excel skills.
• Good understanding of current role/process and ability to articulate it.
• Examples of good written and verbal communication, teamwork, analytical skills, urgency, and attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred.
• Ability to work under stress and time constraints.
• Ability to work well within a team at all levels.
• Empathetic approach and ability to integrate into teams.
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to assist others.

Computer with Microsoft Office suite, including D365.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Ability to prioritize in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment, with occasional domestic and international travel, flexible hours including weekends, lifting up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity, and working in a fast-paced environment with machinery, race cars, and hazardous materials. Compliance with safety policies is mandatory.
