As a key member of the Nationwide finance team, reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll be responsible for the financial management of Nationwide's £40bn+ Buy-to-let (BTL) mortgage book.
You'll be responsible for monthly management accounts, analysing and assessing mortgage reprices, and providing in-depth analysis of actual and forecast book performance. You'll also work closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure that financial performance is well understood and embedded in the decision-making process.

What you'll be doing
You'll be working closely with the BTL Product and Pricing team, analysing mortgage performance for Committee reporting, and providing support and challenge in respect of BTL mortgage reprices and any new product developments.
You'll also be responsible for weekly and monthly management reporting to key stakeholders across the business, providing in-depth analysis to ensure that they understand how their business is performing against both internal forecasts and the wider market.
A strong control environment is vitally important in our team, so you'll be responsible for critically reviewing our key processes and controls, suggesting and implementing changes as necessary.
No two days are the same, and you'll also be responsible for responding to ad-hoc queries and requests from both the wider finance team and from across the business.
About you
- You'll be a recently qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA), either looking for a move out of practice or looking for a new challenge in a new industry.
- Experience of Financial Services will be useful, but not essential.
- You'll have strong communication skills, allowing you to present data and make recommendations to product, and other teams across the business supporting and possibly challenging decisions along the way.
- Proven analytical and excel abilities, which you'll utilise for reporting and subsequent, detailed analysis.
- The ability to reprioritise and work to several deadlines, simultaneously.
