Sheridan Maine is pleased to recruit an Accountant for a well-established firm in Wimborne Minster. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and involves joining a growing finance team.

You will handle financial reporting for a varied client portfolio and take ownership of service charge accounting duties. Working alongside experienced property and finance specialists, you will apply your technical knowledge in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be actively studying towards one)
• Previous experience within an accounting or financial reporting role
• Practice or property accounting experience would be advantageous but isn't essential
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise your workload effectively
• Strong communication skills with confidence working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate financial reporting for a diverse client portfolio
• Produce year-end statutory and client accounts
• Prepare interim financial reports and support regular reporting requirements
• Assist with budgets alongside operational teams
• Complete reconciliations and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date
• Support onboarding of new client portfolios and validate financial information
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and finance projects as required
