Job summary

Lochead Sandford Recruitment Limited is partnering with a well-established Glasgow-based accountancy firm to recruit a CA/ACCA finalist or qualified by experience with 4–5 years in UK practice. The role focuses on year-end work, client advisory and management accounts for a varied client portfolio.

You will use FRS 102, mentor junior staff and interact closely with clients in a collaborative team. The firm offers study support, a 35-hour week, hybrid working and healthcare benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA/ACCA or finalist, with 4–5 years in UK accountancy.
• Experienced with FRS 102 and client-facing advisory.
• Strong year-end prep and review capability.
• Experience coaching junior staff and mentoring teams.

Job description

Excellent new opportunity- with this most well established, expanding and progressive medium sized Accountancy Firm, for a qualified, qualified by experience or finalist CA/ACCA with minimum 4/5 years experience gained working within a similar role in another UK Accountancy Firm.

You will be used to using FRS 102, able to demonstrate good client skills with a 'can do' flexible, commercial approach to your work and interaction with clients. Keen to work more as a Business advisor to clients and ambitious to further progress and learn.

Main duties:

• You will be mainly responsible for year end preparation and some review- dependent on your level, this can be worked up to with relevant support
• Use of FRS 102 for a varied client portfolio- mainly Ltd companies, from a wide range of sectors.
• Management accounts preparation
• Basic tax work
• Ad hoc business advisory work
• Use of various IT accounts systems ie Iris, Sage and cloud packages
• Coaching and mentoring of more junior individuals in the team
• Key role assisting the management team
• Strong client interaction

**Full study support and training to complete ACCA Exams if not already qualified.
