Job summary

Lochead Sandford Recruitment Limited seeks a qualified or finalist CA/ACCA with 4–5 years of UK accountancy firm experience for a growing Glasgow practice. You will handle year-end prep, management accounts, basic tax work and advisory projects, using FRS 102 across diverse Ltd portfolios.

The role offers hybrid working, a 35-hour week, study support, and comprehensive benefits as you mentor junior staff and help steer client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience with FRS 102 in a UK practice setting.
• Minimum 4–5 years in a UK accountancy firm with progression.
• Strong client interaction and advisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead year-end preparation and review for a varied client portfolio.
• Prepare management accounts and assist with basic tax work.
• Deliver ad hoc business advisory work and client coaching.

Job description

Excellent new opportunity- with this most well established, expanding and progressive medium sized Accountancy Firm, for a qualified, qualified by experience or finalist CA/ACCA with minimum 4/5 years experience gained working within a similar role in another UK Accountancy Firm.

You will be used to using FRS 102, able to demonstrate good client skills with a 'can do' flexible, commercial approach to your work and interaction with clients. Keen to work more as a Business advisor to clients and ambitious to further progress and learn.

Main duties:

• You will be mainly responsible for year end preparation and some review- dependent on your level, this can be worked up to with relevant support
• Use of FRS 102 for a varied client portfolio- mainly Ltd companies, from a wide range of sectors.
• Management accounts preparation
• Basic tax work
• Ad hoc business advisory work
• Use of various IT accounts systems ie Iris, Sage and cloud packages
• Coaching and mentoring of more junior individuals in the team
• Key role assisting the management team
• Strong client interaction

**Full study support and training to complete ACCA Exams if not already qualified.
