Job summary

Lochead Sandford Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a qualified CA/ACCA with at least 4 years’ experience to join a forward‑looking accountancy firm in Glasgow. You will lead year‑end preparations, use FRS 102, and prepare management accounts across a varied client portfolio.

You will also mentor junior staff, engage in basic tax work, and support management with ad hoc business advisory. Our hybrid 35-hour week offers real development and study support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with FRS 102 and year-end reporting.
• Strong client interaction and advisory skills.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end financial statements for varied client portfolios.
• Produce management accounts and perform basic tax work.
• Utilise IRIS, Sage and cloud packages for accounting processes.

Job description

Excellent new opportunity- with this most well established, expanding and progressive medium sized Accountancy Firm, for a qualified, qualified by experience or finalist CA/ACCA with minimum 4 years experience gained working within a similar role in another UK Accountancy Firm.

You will be used to using FRS 102, able to demonstrate good client skills with a 'can do' flexible, commercial approach to your work and interaction with clients. Keen to work more as a Business advisor to clients and ambitious to further progress and learn.

Main duties:

• You will be mainly responsible for year end preparation
• Use of FRS 102 for a varied client portfolio- mainly Ltd companies, from a wide range of sectors.
• Management accounts preparation
• Basic tax work
• Use of various IT accounts systems ie Iris, Sage and cloud packages
• Coaching and mentoring of more junior individuals in the team
Key role assisting the management team
• Ad hoc business advisory

Full study support and training to complete ACCA Exams if not already qualified.
