Job summary

Lochead Sandford Recruitment Limited is seeking a qualified or finalist CA/ACCA with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a UK accountancy firm. You will focus on year-end preparation, FRS 102 application, and management accounts across a varied client portfolio, including Ltd companies.

You will also handle basic tax work and use Iris, Sage and cloud packages, while coaching junior staff and supporting the management team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role within a UK accountancy firm.
• Qualified by experience or finalist CA/ACCA.
• Strong FRS 102 experience and ability to apply across varied client portfolio.
• Excellent client-facing skills and a flexible, commercial approach.

Job description

Excellent new opportunity- with this most well established, expanding and progressive medium sized Accountancy Firm, for a qualified, qualified by experience or finalist CA/ACCA with minimum 4 years experience gained working within a similar role in another UK Accountancy Firm.

You will be used to using FRS 102, able to demonstrate good client skills with a 'can do' flexible, commercial approach to your work and interaction with clients. Keen to work more as a Business advisor to clients and ambitious to further progress and learn.

Main duties:

• You will be mainly responsible for year end preparation
• Use of FRS 102 for a varied client portfolio- mainly Ltd companies, from a wide range of sectors.
• Management accounts preparation
• Basic tax work
• Use of various IT accounts systems ie Iris, Sage and cloud packages
• Coaching and mentoring of more junior individuals in the team
Key role assisting the management team
• Ad hoc business advisory

Full study support and training to complete ACCA Exams if not already qualified.
