Location: Goole, East Yorkshire
Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 per annum DOE

Castle Accountancy are working with an established accountancy practice in Goole who are looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant to join their team.

The Role

As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will be working closely with senior accountants and managers, supporting a range of clients with their accounting requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

• Preparing VAT returns and assisting with bookkeeping.

• Supporting the preparation of management accounts.

• Assisting with tax computations and returns.

• Liaising with clients and responding to queries.

• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines.

• Working alongside senior members of the team to develop your knowledge and experience.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.

• AAT qualifications, or be studying towards ACCA/ACA, although qualified by experience candidates will also be considered.

• Experience preparing accounts and VAT returns.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A willingness to learn, develop and take on additional responsibilities.
