Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a well established accountancy practice in Barnsley in their search for an Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm where the role can be shaped around your experience and career aspirations.

Preparing year end statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients and submitting VAT returns are core duties. Build strong client relationships and prepare accounts through to review while contributing to service quality

Qualifications

• Minimum level 4 AAT or QBE.
• ACA/ACCA studier (not required).
• Technically strong and confident.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year end statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients as a key contact for day-to-day queries.
• Preparing accounts files through to review stage with accuracy and efficiency.
• Work collaboratively across the practice to deliver high levels of client service.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and provide additional value to clients.

• Preparing year end statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, as a key point of contact for day to day queries
• Preparing accounts files through to review stage, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently
• Work collaboratively across the practice to deliver a consistently high level of client service
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and provide additional value to clients
