Sharp Consultancy in Doncaster is seeking a Senior Accountant to join an established accountancy practice. You will work closely with Managers and Directors, delivering high quality accounts work and taking ownership of a diverse client portfolio.

This role offers strong client exposure, progression and real responsibility within a supportive team, with opportunities to add value and develop your technical and advisory skills.

Qualifications

• Nearly/newly qualified (ACA/ACCA) or QBE
• Experience in an accountancy practice
• Strong communication and client interaction skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for a range of businesses and clients
• Produce management accounts and financial information
• Prepare VAT returns and support clients with compliance
• Manage own portfolio and act as key client contact
• Provide clients with advice beyond accounts
• Assist with personal and corporation tax requirements
• Review work and support junior staff
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients

I am delighted to be working with a well established accountancy practice in Doncaster in their search for a Senior Accountant following a period of sustained growth. Recent growth means they are now expanding their team to support sustained growth and increasing demand across South Yorkshire.

In this role you will work closely with Managers and Directors, responsible for high quality accounts work and taking ownership of a varied client portfolio – supporting those clients with financial reporting requirements.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who is looking for a role with strong client exposure, progression and the opportunity to take on more responsibility within a supportive team.

Duties/responsibilities:

• Preparing year-end accounts for a range of businesses and clients

• Producing management accounts and financial information

• Preparing VAT returns and supporting clients with their compliance requirements

• Managing your own portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact

• Providing clients with advice and support beyond the preparation of accounts

• Assisting with personal and corporation tax requirements

• Reviewing work and supporting more junior members of the team

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients

Who you are:

• Nearly/newly qualified (ACA/ACCA) or QBE

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice

• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients
