Job summary

Howett-Thorpe Recruitment Consultants Limited in Woking seeks an Accountancy Practice Manager to lead a small team, manage client relationships, and oversee a varied mix of accounts and personal tax work.

You will work with Partners to run the practice, review outsourced work, supervise juniors, and help drive process improvements and growth. ACA/ACCA or equivalent preferred; QBE considered.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent preferred; QBE may be considered.
• Strong accounts and personal tax knowledge.
• Experience reviewing work and maintaining quality standards.
• Good client management and communication skills.
• Hands-on approach with ability to take ownership.
• Experience supervising or supporting junior team members.
• Interest in developing trust knowledge is advantageous.

Job description

A small and established accountancy practice in Woking is looking to appoint an Accountancy Practice Manager to take a key role within the business. Working closely with the Partners, this position will oversee a small team, manage client relationships and take responsibility for a varied mix of accounts and personal tax work.

The successful candidate will have:

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred, although QBE candidates will be considered
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice
• Strong accounts and personal tax knowledge
• Experience reviewing work and maintaining quality standards
• Good client management and communication skills
• A hands-on approach and the confidence to take ownership
• Experience supervising or supporting junior team members
• An interest in developing their trust knowledge would be advantageous
