TPF Recruitment is supporting a well established independent accountancy practice in Sittingbourne with the recruitment of an Accountancy Practice Manager to join their team. You will work closely with the Partner to manage a varied client portfolio, oversee statutory accounts, tax returns and bookkeeping, and help drive the practice’s growth in a collaborative, supportive environment.

You will lead workflow, review accounts and taxes, maintain client satisfaction, and contribute to process

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Extensive experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Experience managing a client portfolio independently.
• Experience preparing and reviewing accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT.
• Experience supervising or managing junior staff.
• Highly organised with excellent communication skills.
• Enjoy building long term relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of owner managed businesses, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT work completed by the team.
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients and providing ongoing support and advice.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of staff.
• Assisting with workflow management and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Supporting the Partner with the day to day running of the practice.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies across the business.
• Getting involved in client meetings and advisory work where appropriate.
