Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an Accountancy Practice Manager for Weston-super-Mare to lead the team delivering year-end accounts, tax and broader services to a varied client base. You will oversee office management, support junior staff, and work with leadership to grow the office.

You will be a seasoned people manager with a background in accountancy practice, capable of developing client portfolios and driving recruitment and business development.

Qualifications

• Must be qualified with one of the professional accountancy qualifications (AAT, ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA) or equivalently experienced in practice.
• Experience at managerial level in an accountancy practice with a track record of leading and developing a team.
• Able to manage a portfolio of clients and oversee year-end accounts and tax work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the office and wider team, reviewing work and supporting staff development.
• Oversee provision of year-end accounts, tax and general practice services to a diverse client base.
• Drive business development and recruitment to grow the Weston-super-Mare office.

A highly regarded and growing accountancy practice based in Weston-Super-Mare is searching for an Accountancy Practice Manager as a key addition working closely with the leadership team managing the provision of year end accounts, tax and wider services to a varied client base, alongside people and team & wider office management as well as growing this office.

Client Details

Based in Weston-Super Mare this growing accountancy practice acts for very wide ranging clients across varying industries with a focus acting for sole traders and corporate, family owned OMB limited companies, typically into the £millions in turnover on larger clients. Accounting and tax software utilising Digita. Primarily office based with one day a week WFH, flexible hours and part time (4 days) or full time working arrangements equally viable to explore.

Description

Joining the firm as a Accountancy Practice Manager based from their Weston-Super-Mare offices you will take on managing the provision of varied year end accounts, tax and wider general practice services to a mixed and wide ranging client base. You will be carving a key role within this office and firm working closely with the leadership team, managing and leading a wider team, reviewing work and supporting junior staff in their development and undertaking an overall office managerial role. There will be scope to carve a key position within this growing office and progress in your career with chance to help grow and develop this office through business development activity and lead on the recruitment of further professionals into this office

Profile

You may be any of AAT, ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA qualified, or suitably experienced only with a career background developed within accountancy practice to the managerial levels. You will have a recent career background working for an accountancy practice, in either a hands on and/or, entirely review and managerial capacity. You will already be a seasoned people manager or with the demonstrable ability to step up into this level of role, leading and developing a team and growing a client portfolio and office as key support to the leadership team.

Job Offer

• Permanent Accountancy Practice Manager position.
• Salary of £40,000 to £55,200, dependent on the level of experience.
