Job summary

Sharp Consultancy in the United Kingdom is seeking a seasoned senior manager to lead a diligent team of accountants producing statutory accounts, other financial information and tax returns for owner-managed businesses. This is not external audit.

The role is office-based and requires a fully qualified accountant with current membership and substantial recent practice-management experience, with strong people skills to build trusted advisor relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with current membership (ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
• Extensive recent practice-management experience in professional services.
• Experience overseeing accounts production and tax work for owner-managed businesses.

Responsibilities

Job description

A long established, regionally significant and growing firm of accountants has this lovely role on offer.

Your primary responsibilities will be to manage an experienced group of accountants producing accounts, other financial information and tax returns for owner managers for a sizeable client base (NOT external audit) AND manage the relationships with key clients.

As the sizeable salary suggests, this is very much a senior management role and hence will require you to be a fully qualified accountant (with current membership) and extensive, recent experience within professional practice in a management role where accounts production is a key part of your/your team's responsibilities. The role is office based.

You will need to be a capable people manager with excellent interpersonal skills so that your clients will quickly see you as a trusted advisor who can help them achieve their own business goals.
