Job summary

Deans Chartered Accountants in Stafford is offering an apprenticeship in accounts or finance. The role provides full on-the-job training and day release study to obtain the AAT qualification.

Hours are 8:45am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with 37 hours 30 minutes per week. The successful candidate will work with clients, learn to prepare accounts, and handle various tax returns under supervision.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs including English and Maths are required or expected.
  • On-the-job training will lead to the AAT qualification.
  • Interest in accounts and finance is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
  • Prepare income tax returns, VAT returns and Corporation tax returns.
  • Maintain client records on Xero or similar software.

Summary

We are looking for a candidate with strong GCSE's and or A-Levels to join our growing Chartered Accountancy practice in Stafford.

Full on the job training will be provided along with day release study to obtain the AAT qualification.

Wage

£15,600 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

  • Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
  • Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience, and different media methods, with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
  • Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
  • Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
