Shilton Accounting in Carterton is seeking an apprentice to train in all aspects of accounting while working towards an AAT or ATT. The role offers real hands‑on experience in payroll, bookkeeping and taxation for local businesses.
The apprenticeship is based at the firm with on‑the‑job learning and college support through Abingdon and Witney College, with tools like Clearbooks, Xero and QuickBooks used daily.
We are a small accounting practice dealing with bookkeeping, payroll and taxation for local businesses and individuals. We are looking to recruit an apprentice to train in all aspects of accounting, whilst working towards an AAT or ATT qualification. All the staff have been trained within the organisation and have been with us for many years.
£15,600 a year

Apprenticeship Assessment and Information Session: Any new person applying for apprenticeship roles where Abingdon and Witney College deliver the training will be required to attend an Apprenticeship Assessment and Information Session at Witney or Abingdon campus.
This will consist of a series of initial assessments (required prior to any apprenticeship offer), completion of essential paperwork, the opportunity to find out more about the apprenticeship process, the training included, and a forum for your questions.
