As the representative of STARLIMS to the customer, the Account Manager operates as the primary contact with the customer account, focusing on improving economic profitability, increasing customer loyalty, securing retention, and driving value expansion. They act as a trusted partner to existing customers, exhibiting high levels of integrity, honesty, keeping commitments, and presenting information completely and accurately to both internal and external customers. They monitor and maintain customer satisfaction through direct contact.

Responsibilities
  1. Identify additional business opportunities and maintain a strong sales funnel.
  2. Drive profitable revenue and close opportunities within targeted named accounts.
  3. Investigate and understand the customers and their business environment, including goals, objectives, and strategies.
  4. Work closely with sales specialists to deliver excellent product presentations.
  5. Design and deliver unique solutions that result in improved outcomes for the customer.
  6. Sell total solutions to targeted, non-enterprise accounts (high-risk/upselling renewals; new business).
  7. Establish and build a deep understanding of customer and stakeholder needs.
  8. Maintain a detailed understanding of customer decision makers and influencers; build and preserve customer relationships to leverage in driving new sales and protecting the existing business.
  9. Develop strategic account plans for closing deals and achieving sales goals.
  10. Negotiate long-term contracts resulting in long-term commitments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, IT, or Business subjects.
  • Experience in laboratory or science-based industries.
  • Account management experience in a software selling context.
