Overview of role

EssenceMediacom (EM) handles media planning and buying for some of the world's smartest advertisers. Supported by keen consumer insight, analysis, and experience, we are part of the largest media planning and buying network in the world.

We are looking for an OOH Manager with exceptional implementation planning ability, a strong understanding of the role OOH plays in a client’s overall marketing campaign, and experience working within a team of multimedia specialists to deliver a connected response to briefs.

The role will involve being responsible for the OOH planning output for some of EM’s biggest clients, including Adidas, Richemont, JMPC, and SAS.

Reporting of the role

You will report to the OOH Director on the team.

Measures of success

In three months, you would have:

  • Built strong relationships internally with your multimedia implementation colleagues, Kinetic counterparts, and your Communications Planners on your client roster.
  • Demonstrated connected OOH plans (alongside other media) for your clients.
  • Built strong relationships with your clients and relevant media owners.

In six months, you would have:

  • Established a key role in developing connected, multimedia responses to briefs with an understanding of how to build a campaign system.
  • Presented your OOH strategies and plans to your clients as part of a connected multimedia response.
  • Developed good working relationships with other internal specialist teams at EM.

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Delivered content partnerships for your clients, working closely with teams across EM including the Investment teams.
  • Involved yourself with the implementation work for a new business pitch.
  • Entered your best work for industry awards.
Responsibilities of the role
  • Ensure delivery and sharing of excellent basics in OOH implementation planning.
  • Play a key role in delivering connected multimedia responses to briefs.
  • Have detailed knowledge of relevant industry and GroupM proprietary tools.
  • Be highly competent in constructing and telling compelling implementation stories, justifying your recommendations.
  • Understand how to conceive, evaluate, and deliver content partnerships.
  • Support and collaborate with team members to establish effective ways of working.
  • Work closely with Investment to ensure campaigns are set up correctly.
  • Build trust with your clients and maintain strong relationships with media owners.
  • Collaborate with digital, AV, Investment, and Kinetic teams.
  • Manage the motivation and development of junior team members.
