Job summary

Arthrex is seeking a driven sales professional to drive the Extremities & Trauma portfolio in your designated territory. You will target flagship and strategic accounts, maintain strong technical and clinical knowledge, and support surgeons during procedures while coordinating cadaveric workshops where needed.

  • Bachelor's degree in bio-medical sciences or related field; Physiotherapist background preferred.
  • Experience in theatres and orthopaedics is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow sales of the Extremities & Trauma portfolio within your territory to meet/exceed targets.
  • Develop a comprehensive territory plan with Territory Managers and the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Deliver Extremities & Trauma training to internal and external customers on Foot & Ankle, Hand & Wrist, and Orthopaedic Trauma products.
  • Attend theatres to support theatre teams and surgeons in product usage.
  • Train surgeons in Arthrex products and organise cadaveric/sawbone workshops.
  • Coordinate with teams to arrange workshops and manage workshop expenses.

Driving sales of the complete Extremities & Trauma portfolio within your designated territory, by targeting and planning activities focused around Flagship and strategic accounts. Maintain a high level of technical and clinical knowledge to continually support both internal and external customers, assisting with surgical procedures, on-going hospital staff training and support, and organising cadaveric workshops, where appropriate, to drive our focus of Innovation and Education.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Maintains a thorough understanding of the Arthrex Extremities & Trauma product line (Foot & Ankle, Hand & Wrist and Orthopaedic Trauma): features, benefits, pricing, and sales strategies as well as the following:

  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive understanding of the complete Extremities & Trauma portfolio (Foot & Ankle, Hand & Wrist and Trauma), so that they can support internal and external customers as the specialist in this field.
  • Drives business and sales of the complete Extremities & Trauma portfolio (Foot & Ankle, Hand & Wrist and Trauma) within their designated territory to exceed the targets agreed upon with the Regional sales Manager (RSM).
  • Works with the local Territory Managers (TM’s) and the RSM to develop a comprehensive plan of the territory, highlighting focus accounts with short, medium, and long-term objectives.
  • Develops and conducts Extremities & Trauma training on the company’s Foot & Ankle, Hand & Wrist and Orthopaedic Trauma products, on an ongoing basis for both internal and external customers.
  • Regularly attends theatres to support theatre teams and surgeons in the use of the Extremities & Trauma portfolio.
  • Trains Foot & Ankle, Hand & Wrist and Orthopaedic Trauma surgeons in the use of Arthrex products.
  • Assist in the organisation and execution of cadaveric and sawbone workshops, for surgeons, surgical trainees and theatre personnel.
  • Working with cadavers in the lab.
  • Supports the Extremities & Trauma Product Manager with internal training events and national conferences.
  • Develops an understanding of the internal processes and works with the appropriate teams to ensure ordering, consignment requests, workshop requirements and expenses are met in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in one of the bio-medical sciences or related field e.g. qualified Physiotherapist or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Theatres and specifically within Orthopaedics is preferred.
Knowledge And Skill Requirements
  • Outstanding communication skills to communicate at varying levels with multiple stakeholders across the business and within hospital accounts.
  • Ability to develop training materials and provide comprehensive teaching is necessary.
Working Arrangements
  • Full-time Monday to Friday (40 hours/week), weekend work on occasion.
